The role primarily drives multiple projects aimed at transforming our go-to-market model such expanding the impact of medicines that I&I delivers to our customers through innovative solutions, integrating deep understanding of evolving needs and possibilities to lead I&I go to market model in new normal. In addition, this role offers a unique opportunity to engage in close operational and strategic support to BU lead in ensuring effective planning and implementation of various cross portfolio initiatives, and in initial assessment and implication of upcoming new portfolio for the BU commercial strategy, allowing a 360°view of the business along with close interaction with global peers
Primary Role & Responsibility
Lead and drive strategy development and/or projects aimed at transforming of go to market mode in new normal world, such as innovative approach in expanding the impact of medicines that I&I delivers, integrating a deep understanding of evolving customer needs into in-line/ pipeline products marketing strategy, from portfolio strategy point of view.
Drive and lead portfolio strategy development working closely with Country I&I lead as well as internal cross functional partners and drive coordination and alignment efforts across the I&I portfolio including pipeline assets.
Act as the hub for portfolio related cross functional communication
Lead roll out of culture enrichment and innovation initiatives across the I&I organization
Provide flexible, agile operational marketing support to problem-solve and trouble-shoot in real time, local business challenges and/or threats to launch and/or market potential
Make practical and effective recommendations to prioritize issues and opportunities, bring appropriate resources, best practices and expertise to the leadership team
Identify, raise/share, and implement best practices. Ensure consistency in over-arching processes and systems, where needed
Ensure 100% compliance with all laws, regulations, SOPs, internal and external rules/policies. Demonstrate a strong compliance mindset and encourage peers and project team members to be attentive to risk

Understand the actual cases of digital usage in and outside the company and the latest technologies as well as online customer behavior
At least 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in marketing experience preferred
Experience developing and managing multi-faceted assets (POA execution, knowledge of digital landscape a plus)
Work experience in consultancy and/or IT integration businesses is a plus.
Agency management experience; knows how to “get things done”
Understanding of regulatory procedures are required, so any experience related is also a plus.
Education / Certification
BS/BA required, Advanced degree preferred
Fluent in writing and speaking both Japanese and English a must
