University Recruiter (Account Management Recruiter)

We have an opening on the Microsoft University Recruiting team pursuing and closing the best and brightest from universities across the globe.  As a University Recruiter focused on Account Management you gain a solid understanding of Microsoft's businesses while impacting the future of the company.  University Recruiting requires problem solvers that enjoy evaluating and seizing opportunities. As an Account Management Recruiter (AMR) you are at the center of the action and will work closely with Microsoft's business leaders to define hiring demand. You will also work closely with the broader University Recruiting (UR) team to guide the right volume and mix of talent to meet that hiring demand.  In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders, HR leaders, Diversity and Inclusion leaders, university recruiters, and candidate finders/closers to lead, influence and shepherd strong university hiring results in a very competitive talent market.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of a University Recruiter - Account Management Recruiter may include: 

• Workforce planning and management – partner with University Recruiting Managers, HR and business partners, Microsoft Finance teams (if appropriate), collect, define and manage corresponding university requisitions, interviewer names for current and long-term talent needs
• Consultative trusted advisor – with business, identifying business hiring needs and collaboratively consult on topics such sourcing strategies, hiring trends, intern program development, diversity, candidate attraction, interview best practices; build strong connections with key stakeholders in the company, both globally and locally; advise on intern program planning, development and execution. All in partnership with your UR Finder and Closer peers
• Partnerships/Training - Provide program guidance to stakeholders on college candidate experience from beginning to end, diversity strategies, technical presentations and candidate interviewing
• Leadership - Identify and cultivate UR stakeholders as well as the UR Champ model to influence the business to support on campus activities, drive team placement of candidates, to support intern conversion, and effective and efficient final round assessment. Lead the overall intern program for Japan partnering closely with the Finder/Closer to execute best practices
• Community – building & driving a community of global AMR’s to collaborate, share best practices and insights to enable a continual evolution of University Recruiting. Participate in US counterparts regular AMR series (PST time-zone).

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for this position should include: 

• BA/BS or MS/MA degree and related recruiting experience in a results-oriented environment
• Candidates for this role must have demonstrated experience and expertise managing high candidate or requisition volumes and developing sophisticated recruiting strategies
• Candidates for this position should be comfortable working autonomously, have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, strong planning and organization skills and possess proven coordination skills.
• Candidates should be able to effectively manage multiple projects and partnerships while contributing to a fun and collaborative team environment
• Candidates should be fluent in both English and Japanese
