The Red Hat Partner Alliance Sales team is looking for a Partner Account Manager for an assigned independent software vendor (ISV) and hardware vendor to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will support the certification, build the joint solution, promote sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage partner engagement within your assigned ISV. You will develop and maintain relationships with ISV partners and regional system integrators (SIs) and their technical enablement. You’ll also promote, recommend, and demote partners, and manage regional Red Hat’s associates to enable sales and technical partners. As a Partner Account Manager, you will serve as a Red Hat ambassador and a subject matter expert for business-related issues.

  • Work with the existing and potential ISV partners, including hardware vendors, to meet an assigned sales quota by creating sales plans and strategies with local field sales teams
  • Work to identify, recruit, and maintain a Red Hat’s technology partner with vendors having software and hardware
  • Work to support getting Red Hat certification and creating joint solutions with Red Hat’s technology partner
  • Collaborate to promote joint solutions with Red Hat’s partners and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to market
  • Coordinate the cross-group work to maximize the synergy with Asia Pacific (APAC) and global teams as well as other teams in Japan like Enterprise Sales, Service and Consultant Sales, marketing teams, etc.
  • Implement programs that generally fall into broad categories like demand generation, awareness, sales and technical enablement, competitive attack, and migration

  • 5+ years of experience with partner and SI sales
  • Experience with channel, business development, or ISV alliance management
  • Solid knowledge of solutions providers and ISVs and joint solution ideas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Lead the cross-group collaboration with clear direction
  • Reading, writing, and speaking skills in business English; over 700 TOEIC score is a plus
  • Work with diverse teams in Japan, APAC, and globally
