Role Summary
This role supports Klook's Japan Tours team in finding and signing up new local activity providers — for example, ski resorts and diving operators — and helping them get their tours and activities set up and bookable on Klook. The goal is to keep growing the range of activities available to global travelers visiting Japan, while the in-house team stays focused on managing the providers already on the platform.
What You'll Do
New Merchant Lead Research:
Build and maintain an organized, prioritized list of potential new activity providers to reach out to
Research each potential provider and check they meet Klook's basic requirements — good-quality offerings, reasonable pricing, good reviews, and whether they fill a gap in the areas or activity types Klook needs more coverage in
Sort and rank leads so the sales team can prioritize outreach to the most promising ones first
Keep lead records up to date and hand off qualified leads to the account managers who do the outreach
Onboarding Support:
Support new providers through the process of setting up their account and getting their tours/activities ready to book on Klook — both providers who need hands-on help and those who can mostly set themselves up
Help providers complete their listing details, upload their available tours and time slots, and finish account setup within the team's target turnaround times
Work with account managers to help resolve any issues that come up while a provider is getting set up
Support ongoing improvements to the onboarding process, including updating instructions/guides and gathering feedback
What You'll Need
Experience in sales support, lead research, or similar operational support roles; background in travel, e-commerce, or online marketplaces is a plus but not required
Comfortable working with spreadsheets or simple tracking tools to organize information
Detail-oriented, especially when checking leads or completing onboarding checklists
Able to manage a consistent weekly workload independently
Business-level Japanese required; English proficiency is a plus for internal reporting
