Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in sales delivery/client engagement and partner management.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a sales role with the ability to coach solution-oriented selling pitches and be a role model for the team.
  • Experience in digital marketing with platforms, agencies, and Partners.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to be resourceful and proactive with a follow-through attitude.
  • Passion for finding consultative solutions with a drive to innovate.

In this role, you will work with a wide variety of agencies and customers to deliver the optimal advertising solution for every partner. Your knowledge of agency landscape, online media combined with your business skills and analytical abilities will help shape how accounts in the program will grow. Engaging with executives on the customer side, you will help the Account Strategists set the vision and the strategy for our customers and how they can grow and transform their businesses.

As an Agency Sales Manager, you'll lead and coach an account strategist team primarily to understand our advertisers' business needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. As a manager of the agency team seller, you will coach and work closely with the Agency Development Manager also in developing the ground through the partner for our customer to grow deeply and in a scalable manner. You will work with the Agency Head to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. You will partner directly with customers as well as the key stakeholder of the agencies to deliver the most advanced solutions Google can offer.

  • Lead the management, operations, training, coaching, and support of a team of agency promoters. Ensure improved business growth, high agency satisfaction, and enhanced portfolio health.
  • Work with the Agency Head to ensure excellent collaboration between the Agency Development Managers and Account Strategists. Align on global Google Customer Solutions priorities.
  • Lead an excellent Sales team, who works directly and in partnership with the agency partners with medium and potentially large-sized digital advertisers in Japan, providing compelling and scalable solutions for our customers.
  • Deliver business growth, engagement, and customer satisfaction goals for a portfolio of customers in an assigned market. Work with the Account Strategist to build and actively manage an effective long-term planning process for customers with their agencies.
  • Define the future of interactions with customers and help develop the necessary infrastructure and processes.


Due to the current health crisis related to COVID-19 and the escalating visa/travel restrictions in place, we're currently unable to extend offers to anyone who cannot work from Japan due to lockdown visa/travel restrictions, or other restrictive measures until further notice.
