The Aladdin Client Engagement (ACE) Group manages the partnerships formed with our clients, particularly on our Aladdin platform. Every member of our ACE team is a trusted advisor, problem solver, and business partner to our esteemed clients and takes charge of driving and deepening these relationships. The team strives to understand the needs and evolving priorities of our client organizations, and we leverage the capabilities of our BlackRock Solutions business to provide investment process solutions.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

ACE is actively seeking an experienced relationship manager to help manage a set of high-profile, sophisticated clients in the Pension/Asset Management/Insurance/Banking industry and Official Institutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Executive engagement and account planning. Be a trusted partner of the C-suite (e.g., Chief Investment Officer, Chief Risk Officer).

● Engage the client's key stakeholders and provide strong leadership for the Aladdin relationship and broader BlackRock relationship.

● Understand client objectives, investment & trading strategies, and market events to effectively manage strategic investment and risk & analytics discussions/workflows.

● Create and drive client commercial strategy, across both harvesting and churn.

● New business from harvesting. Also, work with Aladdin Business Development to expand our business.

● Strategic/consultative engagement on regulatory requirements, workflow, systems best practice, or peer setup.

● New product adoption. Ensure clients are taking full advantage of Aladdin’s capabilities.

● Have a strategic view on the Aladdin product through client conversations and deliver.

● Engage with clients/partner teams on enhancements to the Aladdin Platform.

● Drive client-initiated strategic projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Proficient in market and industry trends.

● Strategic and consultative. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including executives.

● Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients.

● Keen client-focused spirit, team player, and commercial mindset.

● At least 10 years of relevant experience and knowledge in financial technology, financial products, investment management and risk management of broad asset classes e.g. Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives and/or Alternatives.

● Proficient end-user knowledge in any financial investment systems on any of the following attributes will be preferred:

○ Investment strategy/analysis

○ Asset allocation

○ Risk management

○ Financial modeling

○ Quantitative research

○ Risk, exposure, and return reporting

○ Portfolio management/construction

○ Performance and attribution

● CFA/FRM designation or progressing towards CFA/FRM designation is a plus.

● Native-level business Japanese language skills, as well as business-level English language skills.
