Position: Analytical Chemist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65–$75/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write challenging single-turn prompts in Chemistry and Chemical Safety, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
- Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard to ensure correct handling.
- Write reference answers with technical reasoning for correct responses.
- Differentiate routine professional questions from those fishing for misuse.
- Collaborate with practitioners to draw reliable lines in dual-use scenarios.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Experience in detection and identification of hazardous compounds using GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, IR, NMR.
- Method development and validation for trace-level analysis.
- Background in environmental, occupational, or emergency-response sampling and analysis.
- Experience with reference standards, spectral libraries, and unknown identification.
- Laboratory accreditation, QA/QC, and proficiency testing.
