We are searching for an Asia Distribution Account Manager based Tokyo, Japan. This position holder will focus on our Presonus products sales in Asia Pacific region.

Essential Functions:

The Account Manager for APAC distributors will primarily be responsible for selling specific PreSonus Brands product lines into allocated sales areas and achieving company’s sales and profit goals whilst maintaining effective account management for all customers. The Account Manager will manage the end-to-end relationship between distributors, dealers customers and all internal departments liaising with and owning the relationship and communications. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a network of distributors, sales representatives, contractors, systems designers, and dealers, to deliver outstanding sales growth.

The Account Manager plans, directs and manages all sales, marketing, and support efforts for PreSonus hardware and software products. With products ranging from professional and hobby recording systems to professional portable and installed live sound products, PreSonus’ offers a unique opportunity for a talented executive to create a world-class network of sales channels, as well as developing new channels and new customers as the product range expands.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Certifications and/or Training:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Professional Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of work experience with wholesale with Asia customers and cultural sensitivity, recording and live sound industry and brand experience

Essential Functions:

  • Strive to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets for the assigned sales area.
  • Make regular contact with distributors in the assigned area to train, motivate, and build selling skills.
  • Travel within the territory is required, along with occasional travel for regional sales meetings, industry trade shows and meetings to establish and maintain direct relationships with distributors, sales representatives, dealers, contractors, systems designers, and other key decision-makers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and promotions in each territory.
  • Develop annual business plans and sales strategy for the region that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Establish distribution strategy and reseller network to effectively cover the entire PreSonus product range in various vertical market segments in the assigned region.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing team to localize collateral and materials.
  • Support general marketing activities and share industry information and customer feedback.
  • Maintain contact with all clients (dealers, contractors, sound companies, etc.) in the territory to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and to ensure that the PreSonus brand is effectively supported.
  • Work with distributors to place future dated orders to secure products/sales and provide accurate sales forecast.
  • Monitor and assist distributors on promotions and rebate schemes, ensuring terms and conditions are adhered to.
  • Monitor and manage the credit account for each distributor in the territory.
  • Responsible for all product representation in-store and online to comply with company requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain control of distributors’ inventory ensuring correct stock levels are maintained, new products are presented and exit strategies for discontinued products implemented.
  • Prepare action plans for each distributor and region based on strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in each territory.
  • Accomplish objectives of annual business plan, timelines, and budget, including forecasting and sales analysis.
  • Exploit opportunities to bring new players into the existing market to build the long-term business pipeline.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with distributors and potential new clients.
  • Present monthly/weekly reports.
  • Other duties as assigned

Business Knowledge, Skill Requirements, and Desired Attributes:

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Japanese
  • Proven ability to manage sales, marketing, technical support, and administrative functions.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to create and deliver senior-level presentations and high-level business case justifications.
  • Strong relationships within the Professional Audio, Musical Instrument and Sound Hire channels in APAC region
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities
  • Travel arrangements in APAC countries
  • Good planning and organizational skills and ability to be a self-starter and work on own initiative and be self-motivated
  • Strong knowledge of Recording hardware/Pro Audio industry
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and IT devices
  • Solid analytical skills to forecast and identify product/sales trends
  • Exceptional business acumen with strong instinct for growth opportunities
  • Extensive experience in MI industry and the live sound/commercial audio markets.
  • Experience in managing functions that support an international user base is required.
