Assistant Project Manager (Design/Fitout)

SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for supporting with all retail development matters at the local Village.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate Brand inductions and briefings related to shop-fits.
  • Manage fit-out process for new openings and re-merchandising/re-fit programmes for all new and existing stores.
  • Manage temporary fitouts for existing and new Brands.
  • Ensure that proper and complete information is issued by Brands to Value Retail for approval of plans, samples etc and issuing feedback in a timely manner.
  • Arrange all Brand visits in coordination with other departments, reporting and follow up, provide.
  • Monitor shop-fit quality to achieve standards of excellence.
  • Ensure that internal works are executed by Brands in accordance with Value Retail internal guidelines and building regulations.
  • Facilitate effective communication with all contractors, project managers and monitor progress of works on-site to ensure work schedule is adhered to.
  • Follow-up snagging with Brands at completion of each project and ensure they submit all relevant post-completion documents on time.
  • Manage local special projects.
  • Manage flow of information between Retail Development Manager/Director and external consultants, including appointments, plan submittals, timing and billing.
  • Keep track of all invoices relating to VR projects and brand shop-fit works.
  • Devise new systems and procedures for the shop-fit process and improve those already existing.
  • Ensure all Retail Development templates and Area reports are always up to date.
  • Liaise with the Commercialisation/Leasing, Retail, Operations and Legal Departments on all shop-fit related issues.
  • Work closely with the Commercialisation/Leasing and Retail Teams on proposals or feasibility studies.
  • Manage weekly conference calls with other Teams.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of business.
  • Strong project management capability and ability to manage several projects concurrently
  • Ability to prioritize your work to meet tight and multiple deadlines with an eye for detail
  • Able to work well with all levels across the business and customers with a creative and open minded capability to adapt to a fast pace environment
  • Ability to use initiative, pre-empt requests and think ahead.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • On site project experience with contractors and project teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a design role.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Photoshop and InDesign skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English – other European languages advantageous.
  • Degree in Architecture/Interior Architecture/Design/Building Management/Construction Studies
