We are recruiting for a newly created Global role:


Associate Director (AD)/ Director (D) Global Operational Technology and Cyber Security


As Assoc. Director, Global Operational Technology and Cyber Security, you are accountable for the Development, Execution and Delivery of domestic and international Strategies for Global Operational Technology and Cyber Security for Global Technical Operations at Merz Aesthetics. You will partner with global Technical Operations, IT and OT Functions to assure all Objectives are Identified and Fulfilled, Drive Continuous Improvement and Motivate and Lead your Team to Achieve Business Objectives.


Key Activities and Responsibilities:


Global Strategy & Program



  • Establish global strategy and program for Operational Technology (OT) and Cyber Security for Global Technical Operations.

  • Lead, influence, and evolve the operating model to maximize business outcomes and identify opportunities for delivering innovative technical and digital capabilities with ‘compliance built in’ to guide decisions to align with our standards and technology ecosystem.

  • Document and seek agreement on vulnerabilities as well as current and future state capabilities and gaps.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders in the design, engineering, validation and implementation of data, software, or technology solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; Routinely demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing technology solutions.


Functional Leadership



  • Development of highly competent technical staff and future technical leadership.

  • Engagement with senior/executive leadership including knowledge transfer and strategic guidance, including communication regarding operational & security related issues and challenges.

  • Representation of Merz technical position through external engagement and leadership during regulatory and third-party inspections.


State of the Art



  • Evaluate and Implement New Technologies and Improve Operational Efficiencies.

  • Secure firm knowledge transfer of project drivers, business processes, and business requirements to delivery teams at project initiation and support on-going system use and training of users.

  • Actively identify and document business process improvement and tangible benefits in support of project requests.

  • Challenge and improve alignment of the business requirements with regional or global templates.

  • Research and identify enabling solutions, best practices, and technologies to proactively address customer requirements.

  • Willing and able to perform a variety of work and to function as a project manager when required.

  • Continuously evaluate the program policies, procedures, and training to ensure continued compliance with company standards, current industry best practices and current regulatory requirements.


Operational Technology (OT) and Cyber Security 



  • Responsible for coordinating management of security incidents and vulnerabilities with Global IT and OT groups.

  • Communicate and escalate operational & security related issues and challenges.

  • Collaborate with IT Security and Information Security Departments to improve security.

  • Secure OT computing network in collaboration with IT Security.

  • Support monitoring network usage to ensure compliance with security policies.

  • Keep up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats.

  • Documenting any security breaches and assessing their damage as it pertains to Tech Ops Scope.

  • Educate colleagues about OT security and best practices for information security


Inspections and audits



  • Support continued company certification to the appropriate Quality Management System Standards and Regulations and assist with all related audits and inspections as required.


Personnel Management



  • Allocates human resources and selects, acquires, and deploys appropriate methodologies to fulfill near term goals and commitments while ensuring sustainable quality performance.  

  • Motivates and leads their organization to achieve business objectives. 


Organizational Support



  • Maintain positive working relationships and ensure appropriate representatives from affected departments are involved.   


  


Budget



  • Manage Departmental Budgets in accordance with approved targets


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


Education



  • Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, IT Engineering or equivalent. Required

  • Master´s degree in Business Administration, IT Engineering or equivalent. Preferred

  • Cyber Security Professional Accreditation. Preferred


Professional experience



  • Associate Director Minimum 10 years / Director Minimum 15 years of experience in IT, OT and/or Cyber Security. Required

  • Associate Director Minimum 4 years / Director Minimum 7 years of experience in a highly regulated industry. Required

  • Associate Director Minimum 2 years / Director Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Required


Knowledge, skills, and abilities



  • ISO27001 knowledge and/or equivalent practical experience. Required

  • IT/OT Security focus. Required

  • Demonstrated strong project management skills including ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to agreed timelines. Required

  • Must be able to directly lead and/or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects. Required

  • Strong technical and general problem-solving skills. Required

  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Required

  • Proven Skills working with Cross-Functional teams. Required

  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix environment. Required

  • Ability to work independently as well as direct and control the efforts of Direct Reports as applicable. Required

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various technical area experts. Required
