Job Responsibilities:
- Customer & Team Collaboration
- Work at the customer site and interact with both customer and offshore teams.
- Capture and analyze customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with customers to improve software systems and address technical challenges.
- Serve as the onsite Bridge Engineer and coordinator for software development projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in Japan.
- Facilitate communication between customers and offshore teams to resolve technical queries.
- Software Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, and test software systems using customer-provided frameworks and tools.
- Drive and coordinate offshore and nearshore development teams.
- Review offshore deliverables and ensure quality standards are met.
- Deliver high-quality work products within project schedules.
- Report project progress, risks, and issues to customers as required.
- Support customers during QA testing activities.
- Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final delivery.
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Experience developing software for Linux operating systems.
- Strong programming experience in C and/or C++.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN.
- Experience in the semiconductor manufacturing domain.
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry standards such as SECS/GEM and EDA.
- Experience developing equipment/machine control software.
- Knowledge of socket programming, multithreading, and Inter-Process Communication (IPC).
- Experience with Shell/Bash scripting.
Language Skill: Business level Japanese (JLPT N2) and Business level English
