Blackstone is investing significantly in the global expansion of its Blackstone Private Wealth business and seeks to hire an accomplished and driven professional to lead and drive our marketing efforts in Japan for Blackstone’s Private Wealth business. The role represents an opportunity for a talented, ambitious individual to help drive Blackstone Private Wealth's mission of delivering innovative private market solutions, with exceptional service, to wealth managers and their clients.
Reporting to the Head of Blackstone Private Wealth APAC Marketing, the Head of Blackstone Private Wealth Japan Marketing will be responsible for developing and managing marketing plans to drive Blackstone’s brand and visibility as the market leader in alternatives. This role will also partner closely with colleagues in Firm Marketing and Corporate Affairs to create and execute engagement strategies aimed at attracting a broader universe of advisors and individual investors to Blackstone, and further cement the firm as the pre-eminent thought leader on alternative assets for individual investor portfolios.
This role will also lead local product marketing efforts centered on the creation and delivery of best-in-class product marketing content and materials to support our clients’ efforts to raise awareness and promote Blackstone’s private market offerings to Japanese individual investors. Further, this role serves a strategic role within the Blackstone Private Wealth APAC marketing team and plays an important role in setting the strategic direction of marketing and specifically how it can evolve to support the global growth aspirations of Blackstone Private Wealth in region.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for strategic positioning, planning and execution of the marketing strategy for Blackstone's Private Wealth business in Japan.
Lead and mentor a growing Blackstone Private Wealth marketing team supporting the Japan market.
Develop, implement, and oversee advertising campaigns across various channels to effectively reach our target audience and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and maximize campaign performance.
Facilitate strategic discussions with business partners to set marketing priorities and develop integrated marketing plans.
Collaborate with marketing and Blackstone Private Wealth colleagues globally in the Americas, Europe and Asia to deliver successful client programs.
Identify opportunities to offer value-add resources while managing workflow more efficiently to drive business results.
Stay current on industry dynamics and competitive shifts in the market; bring new ideas to help Blackstone maintain its market leading position in private wealth.
Drive the thought leadership agenda for Blackstone Private Wealth business.
Design a best-in-class event platform that spans in person to scaled virtual events.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate should be a dynamic marketing leader with extensive distribution marketing expertise within a leading investment and wealth management organization. S/He must have:
Proven marketing experience in customer acquisition and lead generation.
Effective people leadership skills; ability to develop and oversee a high performing team.
Ability to develop high-impact campaigns including above-the-line advertising that resonates with both advisor and individual investors audiences.
Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships with sales teams.
Conversant with all digital marketing tools and strategies.
A strategic mindset and vision for how marketing can drive a commercial impact.
An entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter and idea generator.
Experience in driving a thought leadership agenda including the ability to partner with internal stakeholders and speakers to identify and develop content.
Strong business judgment and decisiveness; ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional project management skills; ability to instill process and structure where appropriate to help scale.
Extensive marketing experience in Japan focusing on intermediary audiences bringing deep knowledge of regional wealth and wholesale segments.
Demonstrated interest in investments and solid knowledge across alternatives investment products, financial services industry, and capital markets.
Knowledge of the regional regulatory and legislative landscape and understanding of financial promotions rules marketing rules in Japan
Must have strong written and spoken communication skills; fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English languages is required
Ability to work in a global organization managing multiple stakeholders and initiatives simultaneously against tight timelines.
