We are seeking an experienced marketing manager to execute the regional brand marketing plan to drive awareness and consideration across our audiences in the APAC region (initially focusing on Japan). The regional brand marketing team partners with the global brand and content marketing team and regional business leaders to deliver Amazon Ads brand campaigns and initiatives that reach and engage our international customers. This role will focus on working with agencies to manage brand campaigns, localizing global campaign materials for the region, and creating new customer-facing content as needed. Examples of types of content include thought leadership presentations around “big rock” marketing themes, local case studies (video and written), and bespoke articles, presentations, and sponsored/branded content that resonates with local brand manager, advertiser, and agency audiences. This candidate will own the end-to-end content development process, including review, approval, launch, and adoption.
The ideal candidate will have built and executed B2B regional marketing initiatives in either a global or local capacity and has experience driving brand engagement for a growing business. The right person will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including regional sales leads, content marketers, channel marketers, and data analysts. This is a fast-moving role, requiring strong prioritization and communication skills. Day-to-day activities will change constantly as our business grows and this person can expect to build regional marketing programs that reach advertisers across the APAC. Being flexible and comfortable with ambiguity will be required for success. The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously, successfully manage project pipeline, and effectively communicate and foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
A day in the life:
  • Build and execute the regional marketing plan aligned to brand marketing priorities, local business needs, and available resources
  • Develop and execute coordinated local marketing materials across all channels including paid media, social, partner/trade co-marketing, events, email and more
  • Localize global brand marketing campaigns and content (customizing language, insights, and content) for regional advertisers and media agency audiences
  • Identify and create customer case studies and other forms of branded content to support brand awareness and consideration goals
  • Work cross-functionally with the content marketing, editorial, product, sales, insights and analysts, legal, and PR teams to deliver accurate positioning and storytelling of our products and solutions
  • Support the global events team with content creation (event keynotes, customer panels and fireside chats) for regional industry and Amazon Ads owned events
  • Identify new marketing channels to effectively communicate with our advertising customers in-region
