As a Global Team Leader in the Sales Development team, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, and your contributions will be instrumental in driving our success.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic (“working on the business”)

  • Developing and refining the lead generation strategy across regions to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality leads.
  • Working with Regional Sales Leaders, Market Development, Marketing and Revenue Ops to continuously improving the sales process to enhance efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the regional BDR Team Leads (APAC, EMEA, Americas) and providing regular reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure outbound sales methodology has tailored content specific to each motion, segment and jurisdiction

People & team (“working in the business”)

  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring BDRs to ensure they are well-equipped to meet their targets.
  • Monitoring individual and team performance, providing coaching, and setting targets for BDRs.
  • Creating a positive and motivating work environment to maximize team morale and productivity.
  • Ensuring team goals align with the overall business objectives and strategy.
  • Addressing conflicts or issues within the team and fostering a harmonious work environment.

Infrastructure and processes (“keeping the business working”)

  • Selecting, implementing, and managing the necessary sales development tools to support the BDR team's efforts.
  • Developing and maintaining effective lead management processes, including lead tracking and distribution.
  • Ensuring that the team follows data protection regulations and company policies when handling customer information.
  • Streamlining workflows and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Creating and updating training materials, scripts, and documentation for the BDR team.
  • Documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lead generation and qualification.

Requirements

  • Ideally, 7+ years of demonstrated experience working for a fast growing software company in Sales and Business Developments is required, with proven track record of generating software licence revenue through demand gen activities or similar
  • Leadership and coaching skills – the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and inspire your team by guiding team members to success, providing constructive feedback, and helping them develop their skills.
  • Sales expertise – strong knowledge of the sales process, lead generation, and qualification is crucial. You should be able to set an example for the team and provide guidance on sales tactics and strategies.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills – effective communication to build relationships with team members and foster a collaborative environment. You should also be adept at communicating with leads and prospects, both in writing and verbally.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach – competency in analyzing data, metrics, and performance indicators is vital for making informed decisions and refining the team's strategies. This includes the ability to identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and adjust tactics accordingly.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving – given the dynamic nature of sales and lead generation, you should be adaptable and capable of quickly addressing challenges or changes in the business environment. Problem-solving skills are essential for overcoming obstacles and optimizing processes.
