EY GDS Business Consulting – Supply Chain & Operations – Senior Consultant
As part of our Business Consulting – Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) team, we are seeking highly motivated professionals to help EY clients across sectors deliver Supply Chain and Operations transformation programs, leveraging data, analytics, and AI as key enablers.
While the role will focus primarily on Procurement function, the professional is expected to have knowledge of the overall supply chain management, including Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, and Logistics, to support transformation programs for MENA region clients.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Consultant within Business Consulting – Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) with strong functional expertise across procurement and supply chain domains, complemented by hands‑on experience in applying AI and advanced analytics to solve business problems.
This role focuses on shaping supply chain and procurement strategies, operating models, and transformation roadmaps, while leveraging analytics & AI as a key enabler to drive insight‑led decision‑making, efficiency, and value realization across client engagements within the MENA region.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support procurement transformation initiatives, with strong emphasis on procurement strategy, category management, sourcing, supplier performance, and governance
- Diagnose current‑state SC&O capabilities and define future‑state operating models, processes, and performance frameworks
- Support clients across planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics, ensuring end‑to‑end supply chain alignment
- Translate business priorities into clear, phased SC&O transformation roadmaps, articulating value across cost, service, resilience, risk, and compliance
- Identify AI, advanced analytics, and automation use cases to enhance procurement and supply chain decision‑making (e.g., spend analytics, demand forecasting, supplier risk, contract intelligence)
- Design business requirements for supply chain and procurement control towers as decision‑support layers, integrating data across source‑to‑pay, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics
- Translate functional requirements into practical AI use cases, ensuring solutions are business‑driven, usable, and value‑focused
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure AI solutions are fit‑for‑purpose, scalable, and governed.
- Enable knowledge transfer through training, documentation, and best practices within SC&O teams
- Contribute to proposal development and solution shaping for SC&O and procurement engagements
- Champion responsible AI principles, governance, and ethical use of AI within SC&O transformations
- Continuously improve solutions through feedback loops, performance metrics, and benefit tracking
Skills And Attributes for Success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Strong supply chain & procurement domain expertise, with ability to link digital and AI capabilities to business outcomes
- Functional experience in SC&O transformation, operating‑model design, and execution support
- Ability to use AI and analytics as business enablers
- A consulting mindset with stakeholder‑management and communication skills
- Analytical, problem‑solving oriented, and outcome-focused behaviour
- Comfort working in complex, multi‑stakeholder transformation environments
- Adaptability to evolving digital, data, and AI trends within supply chain
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain & Operations or procurement consulting, with exposure to transformation engagements
- Proven experience applying analytics, automation, and AI solutions within Supply Chain or Procurement contexts
- Strong understanding of procurement and SC&O processes, operating models, and performance metrics
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science, or a related field
- Working knowledge of advanced analytics and AI concepts, data‑driven decision‑making and reporting
- Experience with tools such as Power BI or any analytics platform is an advantage
- Familiarity or experience in agentic AI configuration and intelligent automation
- Experience applying AI to supply chain and procurement use cases is highly preferred
- Relevant AI / Analytics certifications are an advantage
- Willingness to travel onsite for client assignments
- Willingness to work Sunday to Thursday and support MENA client timings (11:00 AM – 8:30 PM IST)
