The Business Development Manager will be able to function both independently and as a team player. Responsible for working with Global Account and Product Management teams to define a strategy for the Japan Automotive market. This will include product strategy creation, leading product road mapping, driving product developments, positioning, marketing, as well as market Point of View and Voice of Customer collection.

The CMS Japan team at Molex works with leading Japanese Automotive OEMs to support design and development activities in 3 key segments.
  • Vehicle Antenna Solutions
  • Automotive high-speed networking cables
  • Wired or wireless integration of personal devices into the vehicle.

What You Will Do
  • Effectively communicate roles, responsibilities, expectations and goals to your direct reports, business unit and division.
  • Empower & keep your team accountable for their project activities.

• Together with Account Management team, define a strategy for the Japan Automotive market based on knowledge of current and future customer product roadmaps.
• Work with global product management teams in Molex to ensure the Japanese OEM POV is understood.
• Position Molex as a trusted partner with the Japanese OEMs on advanced product development opportunities
• Work with Global Product Management to align on pricing strategy for Japan market and specific opportunities.
• Maintain and expand relationships with Engineering organizations of our customers and key suppliers.
• Assist with any quality issues on current production parts including our response to customer concerns/complaints on parts performance.
• Understand and share market Point of View and Voice of Customer with Global Molex team.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or business degree with a technical acumen.
• Experience in Automotive OEM Account Management or Product Development (especially with a foreign company).
• Experience in design and development process o f e l ectronic c o mponents ( s emiconductors, e t c.) with Japanese OEMs from concept to production.
• Good communication skills internally within Molex Group and externally towards customers and suppliers.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Computer skills: Power point, Excel, Word.
• Ability to travel both domestic and international (US/China/Philippines/Mexico). Up to 25% travel possible.

  • Familiarity with mechanical data sheets, equipment drawings, engineering, and project specifications
