Business Finance Analyst (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in financial/quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to communicate in business-level Japanese and English fluently to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SQL and analytical experience working with large volumes of complex data.
  • Ability to craft and deliver a message to influence various stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate with others including senior leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to identify the trends in data, build forecasts, and develop insights.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets.
  • Interest in Google Ads and other products like AI, etc.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

In this role, you will provide decision support to the Japan management team with a primary focus on ads sales and functions. You will demonstrate thought leadership to build financial and operational insight, strategy, and processes.

Business Finance Analysts help ensure that Google makes sound business decisions. Your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics or else, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support Japan’s Business Finance operations such as business reporting, forecasting, target setting, analysis, and budget management.
  • Provide management with insights and recommendations into drivers of business, market trends, risks, and opportunities leading to enhancing business and product actions.
  • Engage in analyses to generate the insights and recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison to connect central Finance teams and local teams.
