Cargo Planner
The Cargo Planner will calculate available space on board vessels, plan stowage to maximise intake, and distributing stowage/discharge plans. In addition, support the vessel to ensure an efficient sequential load and discharge operation.

The company is a top global sea transport service provider, owning and operating approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems. The main customers are major manufacturers of new cars,heavy machinery and other rolling stock. The company aims for zero emissions by 2040 with an exciting roadmap to achieve this.
Description
* Responsible for planning stowage to maximise intake, and distributing stowage/discharge plans
* Responsible for supporting the vessel to ensure an efficient sequential load and discharge operation.
* Responsible for advising required equipment to safely handle cargo
* Reject cargo for loading if not according to company standards
* Shift cargo to shore or on board if to company benefit
* Responsibility for distribution of the preload and discharge plan to all relevant parties,including the vessel.
* Report potential short shipment and actual short shipment as soon as possible.
* Technical support to company commercial side
* Support the vessel to ensure implementation of company standards during cargo operations, which includes but does not limit to securing of company and Static on board
* Report vessel and call performance
* Report port call performance
* Act as a link between Terminal/Stevedores/Tally and the vessel
Profile
* Minimum five years experience in cargo planning and cargo operation with a strong understanding of processes and customer expectations.
* Five years experience as Port Captain/Cargo planner.
* In depth knowledge of our cargo securing and acceptance requirements.
* Structured with excellent cooperation and communication skills
