We are engaging Civil Rights Attorney (BigLaw Firms) professionals to contribute expertise to a client-focused project centered on civil rights law. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Analyze and interpret complex civil rights statutes, regulations, and case law for relevance and accuracy.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft written summaries, memos, or analyses highlighting key legal issues and precedents.
- Develop and review realistic civil rights scenarios, hypotheticals, and legal problems for use in AI model development.
- Evaluate and critique AI-generated legal analyses, providing expert feedback and ensuring adherence to legal standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts, address ambiguities, and ensure quality of inputs.
- Assist in creating clear, concise, and accurate legal content tailored to a variety of learning contexts.
- Identify emerging trends and potential areas of risk in civil rights law as they relate to AI and technology platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
- Substantial experience practicing civil rights law, preferably with a background in prominent (BigLaw) firms.
- Strong track record of legal research, writing, and case law analysis in complex and high-stakes matters.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and a keen attention to detail in both analysis and communication.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret statutes and policies, translating legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary or technology-driven environments.
- Interest in the intersection of law, policy, and emerging technologies, particularly AI and its societal impacts.
