Overall Scope of Role
Target and activate site-specific communication and marketing activities across all Micron Japan sites. Work closely with Country Communications Manager in Tokyo to communicate and promote Micron’s values and Operational Leadership as a company to diverse audiences including employees, customers, suppliers, and ecosystem partners.
Develop Japan site-level communication strategies, define and execute related programs (70%)
Develop site communication strategies and define relevant site communication programs to enhance the Micron branding presence internally and externally
Work seamlessly with Hiroshima site leadership team for the prioritization of site communication initiatives per Micron’s corporate objectives and strategies
Works with executives and senior leadership team in Japan to take the pulse of overall business activity to identify cross-function communication opportunities
Be responsible for coordinating and communicating with local stakeholders to identify site milestones and achievements and work with Global Communication and Marketing (GCM) team to promote internally following the regular business planning process
Work closely with Asia Site Communications Lead to contribute to cross-Asia site communication strategies and programs
Responsible for Micron global branding roll-out across all Japan sites
Take lead in managing Micron’s country-level internal communication platform, for instance, MicronNow country / regional site
Accountable for channeling Japan’s major internal communication programs and external events into broader Micron editorial plans
Work with site PMO team in country wide to manage and execute townhall meetings
Manage site digital communication (digital signages within sites) with site related news and activities and be the gatekeeper for content and layout consistent with corporate branding guidelines
Lead and work with the Country Communication Manager on planning and implementing corporate tier one activities and campaigns, such as site opening events
Be the GCM counsel for the internal stakeholders at site-level as the liaison and content contributor to GCM (30%)
Effectively communicate the values that Micron delivers to our stakeholders and the market and ensure all local messages are aligned with the strategic importance to the company
Be responsible for contributing content and messages in both Japanese and English, reviewing collaterals from corporate, and keeping site profiles updated to fit local site communication needs and fulfill corporate GCM’s request
Work closely with Country Communication Manager to manage site issue and crisis communication with Corporate communications team
As the contact point at site, providing site milestones and achievements to Country Communication Manager to contribute to Japan social media content
Give the communication guidance to local key stakeholders to facilitate local communication to be executed accurately and efficiently.
Fluent in English/Japanese speaking and writing. Be able to communicate with non-Japanese team members.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration/ management, journalism, strategic communications, marketing, or equivalent
5+ years demonstrated experience with cross-function and cross-region coordination
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
