Corporate and Investment Bank - Equity Derivatives Structuring - Executive Director

As an Executive Director in the Equity Derivatives Structuring team, you will be running a team focusing on Japan market. You are responsible of building and growing the derivatives business in Japan, providing structuring expertise to all financial institution clients. You will be working closely with Sales locally and Structuring & Trading teams globally.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead our equity structuring business based in Japan
• Originate complex transactions with different wrapping solutions (E.g. reinsurance vehicle, funds, SPV, credit repacked, etc.)
• Innovate payoff and product design linked to equity underlyings, mutual funds and multi-asset hybrid
• Have strong insurance regulations and product knowledge
• Comply with internal control requirement to conduct business, with high standard of risk and control mindset

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Proficiency with market and product lingo with derivatives / Equity product knowledge. Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of own product (e.g., pricing, models, etc) with an entrepreneurial drive
• Ability to solve complex and technical cross asset requests, apart from core equity product expertise
• Creativity in solving problems with strong analytical skill. Always looks for new ways of doing things
• Good understanding of the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risk
• Able to understand the relevant markets and explain and anticipate market movements
• Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
• Knowledge of transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
• Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs, with an ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
• Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences
• Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork partnership
• Have extensive understanding of Japan Insurance regulations on derivatives products

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
• Credit and rates experiences is preferred
