Minimum qualifications:

  • Technical sales experience or professional consulting experience in the fields of security, risk management, compliance and security control
  • Experience with technical sales operations, marketing, partnerships, sales flow and driving agreements
  • Experience delivering presentations and demonstrations of security solutions, including their integration with a customer’s existing infrastructure

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with network security technology, including intrusion monitoring, threat detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and DDOS prevention solutions
  • Deep understanding of data protection technology including encryption, key management, data loss prevention, and hardware security modules
  • Deep understanding of identity management systems including directories, access servers, authorization services, identity provisioning and governance systems
  • Understanding of International and Japanese regulations and certifications that affect cloud adoption such as ISO 27001, 27017, 27018, SOC 2 and 3, PCI DSS, FISC, Personal Information Protection Law, etc.

As a Security and Compliance Specialist, you'll utilize both technical aptitude and exemplary communication skills to address security and compliance challenges during customer engagements. In this role, you will work with technical sales teams as a security and compliance subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks. Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on areas of security and compliance to customers, sales teams and stakeholders. Support marketing efforts to develop pipeline via public speaking, blog writing and coordination of content for conferences
  • Increase awareness of security and compliance offerings with compelling presentations and demonstrations both internally and externally. Identify/qualify opportunities with the sales team, and understand customer use cases and develop solutions to meet them
  • Understand key customer technical objections and develop strategies to resolve blockers related to security and compliance. Provide feedback to product teams in order to improve products, meet customers needs and regional requirements
  • Recommend integration strategies and help develop partners to integrate and consult on Google Cloud security and compliance offerings. Assist policy personnel in technical conversations with policy makers, industry bodies and other third-parties to advance Google’s message
