Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Customer Success Manager-Architect (IBM Software), you will apply your expert technical skills to drive successful customer outcomes with IBM Software. Examples of these customers could be enterprise companies, Kyndryl, and Kyndryl End-User Clients. You will be responsible for use case identification, designing solutions, and ensuring that the value and capabilities of the IBM Software are used to achieve business outcomes. You will also guide IT executives through the changes needed to unlock the full value of the IBM Software, show how to get value out of their solutions, and identify expansion and modernization opportunities.
To be successful in this role you:
  • Demonstrate a history of success as a consultant, pre-sales, technical account manager, enterprise architect, or equivalent
  • Deeply understand the client’s business and technology needs; become the face of IBM to the client
  • Demonstrate ability to build and leverage extensive relationships with customers and/or partners (strong client facing experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge of the IBM Software portfolio especially WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Db2, and/or Tivoli for Distributed and/or z platforms
  • Have a proven track record of leading technical conversations and persuading others to take action based on requirements and value provided by solutions
  • Have handled difficult customers or situations and can demonstrate resolutions
  • Willingness to take initiative and tackle things on your own
  • Ability to navigate data and people to find answers

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Technical understanding and hands-on experience with IBM Software products (WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Db2, and/or Tivoli for Distributed and/or z platforms)
  • Understanding of enterprise software implementations
  • Can show how IBM Software can be used to drive and enhance business outcomes
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building and executive communication skills
  • Can manage multiple customer accounts and project simultaneously

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 5-10 years of experience in Customer Success, Professional Services and/or Services Industries
  • Technical Sales (e.g. technology or management consulting)
  • Experience working the IBM Software enterprise offerings (WebSphere Application Server(WAS), Db2, and/or Tivoli for Distributed and/or z platforms)
