Key Roles
DEFECT Process Engineering
- Yield Improvement and quality improvement
- Analysis and improvement of the causes of defects and yield loss in manufacturing processes.
- Detection and analysis of defects, and response to process abnormalities.
- Improvement of equipment related defects.
- Data Analysis and AI Utilization.
Various projects management such as capacity expansion, new technology development, line yield improvement. Support factory strategy development for future growth and propose to stakeholders as one of engineer.
Key Relationship
Direct reports to: Aizu manufacturing engineering Manager
Other Key relationship: Aizu internal staff managers, Global Engineering team (both process and equipment).
Responsibilities
- Beat department KPI goals to contribute factory KPI goals achievement.
- Deliver the section commitment (such as schedule and performance) to gain stakeholders’ royalty.
- Report projects and/or task progress to stakeholders regularly
- Develop organization and talent to enhance DEFECT engineering team’s capabilities.
- Develop good relationships with stakeholders and internal/external peers.
Requirement
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, especially DEFECT engineering for over 10 years.
- Experience of DEFECT engineering (or equivalent role)
- Experience in improving business operations using AI technologies
- Business English skill (TOEIC 500)
- LPL Level 2
- University degree or above
- Preferred experience at foreign company
- Leadership skills
- Japanese language proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N2 level or above)
- Valid work authorization that permits employment in Japan at the time of application
- No visa sponsorship available for this position
