Our Team:

Demand planning is an essential role within Consumer HealthCare(CHC) Supply Chain Department, in our transformation journey of becoming the Best Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare Company (FMCH) in and for the world.

We are looking for Demand Planning Man, who can lead Japan CHC’s overall demand planning. The candidate is required to closely interact with a wide range of stakeholders (at affiliate level with the General Manager, Marketing, Sales, Finance Team but also at Global/ Regional level with Supply Chain counterpart and Industrial sites & External Manufacturers) and then obtain necessary information and consensus under monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and its timeline.

Japan is a key market within AMEA Region, a dynamic and diverse Region (Korea, India, South-East Asia Countries, Australia & New Zealand but also Africa & Middle East etc).

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly IBP processes (portfolio management, demand planning, Supply review etc) and present outputs to Key Stakeholders at both Country and Regional level,
  • Review, assess, and challenge when necessary, forecast assumptions and supply constraints with a range of up to 36 months horizon to propose the most realistic, accurate forecast for both internal/external key stakeholders (both commercial team and industrial partners)
  • Lead the company DPX (Digital Transformation) initiative working closely with overseas Center of Excellence (CoE) team to improve statistical forecast for the company’s brands.
  • Review and assess inventory and supply plan for all products and take appropriate actions in a timely manner to optimize and achieve the company’s inventory target with a minimum level of slow-moving and obsoletes.
  • Support Head of SCBP for ensuring entire SCBP operational management and improve the current business processes when necessary.

1. IBP (S&OP) 5 steps to lead

Lead all 5 steps of IBP (S&OP), bringing together different internal functions and using data to make the best decisions to meet and exceed business objectives

2.Portfolio Management

Optimize portfolio management and secure new product launches and contribute SKU rationalization as a part of pruning process

3.Demand Forecasting

Develop and align demand forecast (24-36 month rolling) in volume and value with commercial and finance

Accountable for market trend and risk and opportunities on rolling forecast against budget and budget update

Support head of SCBP to enhance internal forecasting process

4.Supply Planning

Supply Planning to ensure inventory available to support business by collaborating with plant supply chain team that manages manufacturing and supply from CMO

5.Inventory

Define right levels of inventory on hand in track inventory in trade to ensure no excess or shortage. Ensure that we maintain the right levels based on definition and work on ways to improve overall cash flow from the perspective of the patient

6.Excess & Obsolete

Highlight risks of E&O in the future and create mitigation plans in collaboration with the business team, manufacturing locations and local distribution team

7.Change Management

Work with partners within Factory and SC Japan on Change management to ensure all projects related to changes to the project and capacity are well managed

8.Project Management

Lead implementation of SAP and KINAXIS, demand planning tool as a stream lead working with super users in planning team and key stakeholders

9.KPI Management

Service Level, forecast accuracy, Inventory, write off provision, operating cost

10.Team and Talent development

Build up team to expand capability to perform better in line with business growth

11.HSE / Compliance

Ensure HSE and any compliance requirement and conduct as requested

About you

  • Experience:

  • Overall supply chain knowledge and Inventory optimization methods.
  • IBP (S&OP) process to lead
  • General Sales Planning or Demand Forecasting skills either using Excel or statistical tools
  • Experience in sales planning is a plus
  • Finance and basic accounting knowledge are a plus
  • Manufacturing experience is plus
  • Working Experience in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare is a plus

  • Proficiency in Japanese and English, to be able to interact with Regional/ Global stakeholders
  • Team management experience

Technical skills:

  • Strong Supply Planning experience with manufacturing site and Contract Manufacturing Organization
  • Demand Forecasting & Planning Tool – KINAXIS, APO, Magnetics. etc.

Education:

  • University degree or knowledge equivalent to it

Languages:

The ideal candidate for this position must be fluent in both English and Japanese, as they will be required to communicate effectively in a business setting in Japan and with regional stakeholders and participate in global business interactions.
