Digital Supply Chain Learning Experience Designer - Prime Video, Prime Video Partner Operation Management

Prime Video (PV) is a digital video streaming and download service that offers Amazon customers the ability to rent, purchase or subscribe to a huge catalog of content. Movies range from new releases to classic favorites, and PV also offers major television shows, entire seasons, and day after air TV. Amazon’s video subscription offer service includes tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes selected from the full assortment available at Prime Video. In short, PV offers content in multiple formats and offer types for our customers to access and enjoy both their favorite shows and explore new titles.
The Partner Operations Management team within Prime Video manages the operational performance of our studio partners and content distributors, address daily tactical operations, and drive long-term, strategic operational partnerships with our studio partners across the globe.
We are seeking a talented Learning Experience Designer to create interactive and engaging learning experiences for our team members. This individual must employ agile instructional design and distribution methods that best suit the content and learner profile as well as meet customer timelines and expectations.
An ideal candidate is driven, talented, and experienced with all elements of graphics, visual design, animation, and video creation. In addition to strong graphic and media design skills, the candidate must have strong strategic and systems thinking, organizational skills, experience managing small and large projects, and acute attention to detail. They must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to present and defend their design decisions to leadership.
This position will be based out of Tokyo or Sendai, Japan.
Key job responsibilities
- Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce learning materials promoting learning through self-study, practice, performance support, and knowledge-sharing.
- Conduct needs analysis to design and develop bar-raising, accessible, scalable learning solutions for multiple modalities and a global audience.
- Pursue a deep understanding of multiple learner roles supporting multiple operational programs to ensure learning solutions meet the needs of the business and learners.
- Develop evaluation strategies measuring learner outcomes of knowledge acquisition and impact to business metrics.
- Develop comprehensive training/design plan to monitor progress and serve as a communication tool for stakeholders.
- Prioritize effectively to manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with other teams and subject matter experts to support launches of new products and services, as well as supporting updates to existing products and services.
- Perform learning administration tasks including: upload of new content, update to existing content, curricula creation, and report generation.
- Maintain knowledge of new learning approaches, technology and tools.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Have a passion for continuously improving the customer experience.
- Be a creative problem solver who always thinks critically about next steps.
- Possess flexibility and have a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous work environment.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 3+ years experience in learner experience design or instructional design.
- Expertise using eLearning development tools such as Articulate Rise/Storyline and Camtasia.
- Experience conducting training needs assessments.
- Experience assessing curriculum effectiveness to develop solutions that positively impact learner performance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in instructional design, communication, education, or related field.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
- A few work samples demonstrating your experience and skill using course authoring tools and instructional design theory will be will be required as part of the hiring process.

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Business proficiency in Japanese.
