DevOps Job Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements of development projects and build and manage infrastructure using common tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, etc. Provide the optimal CI/CD environment for development projects.
- Provide development environment construction support, document preparation, training, etc. to help unify development tools to improve efficiency.
- Provide mentoring to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with the QA team to incorporate automated testing into CI/CD. You will report on the execution results at all times.
- Build and maintain Testing, Staging, and Production environments for service development. You will report on the status of each of these environments on a regular basis.
SRE Job Responsibilities:
- Service Level Indicator (SLI) setting, operation and constant monitoring and reporting
- Set Service Level Objectives (SLOs), monitor and report the achievement rate at all times
- Set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and agree on them within the team
- Create playbooks to be used in the event of various incidents. Collaborate with security and support teams.
- Establish a structure for incident response, including on-call shifts.
- Build a dashboard for the team to monitor the operation of the service. Provide training and documentation on how to use the dashboard.
Requirements
- 5+ years software development experience.
- 3+ years DevOps, SRE, or both experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Knowledge, experience, and skills with common CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, etc.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDL)
- Understanding and experience with various technology stacks.
- Understanding of best practices for system security measures.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in different time zones (Japan, India, US West Coast)
- Ability to communicate in Japanese: Do not have to be native but able to understand the conversation and written documents.
