From our entire floor of meticulously designed Japanese-inspired guest rooms to our private ofuro (traditional baths), Four Seasons is a contemporary portal to the authentic heart of Osaka, immersing you in the city’s intriguing blend of heritage and modernity.

What will you do

  • Greet and Welcome Guests: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests as they arrive at the restaurant, assist with coats, and escort them to their tables.
  • Reservation Management: Manage reservation inquiries, take bookings, and maintain an organized record of reservations. Ensure that the seating plan is optimized for efficient service.
  • Seating Arrangements: Ensure that guests are seated at appropriate tables and in accordance with their preferences whenever possible. Handle any special seating requests or arrangements.
  • Menu Presentation: Present menus to guests, provide information about daily specials, and answer questions regarding the menu items. Be knowledgeable about the restaurant's offerings.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between guests and the restaurant staff, conveying special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen and servers. Keep guests informed about waiting times and any delays in service.
  • Assist with Service: Provide assistance to the serving staff during busy periods, such as refilling water glasses, clearing plates, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that the host/hostess station and waiting area are clean and organized. Monitor the cleanliness of tables and seating areas.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Address any guest concerns or complaints, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction and report feedback to the restaurant management.
  • Upselling: Promote special promotions, drinks, and desserts to increase revenue and enhance the dining experience.
  • Closing Procedures: Assist in closing the restaurant, which may include organizing reservations for the next day, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff, and ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.

What you bring:

  • One to two years’ previous experience in Food & Beverage outlet; previous employment experience within a luxury Hotels is considered an asset

  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems

  • Strong communication skills

  • Japanese language is a must; English ability is highly valued due to international clientele.

Schedule & Hours:

• Full time, 40 hours/week; hours expected to be worked (early mornings, days, evenings, overnights, or weekends.)
