About the job

This role leads commercial growth for Analytics, Customer Experience (CX), and Data Solutions in Japan. As Director, Commercial Lead, you will shape client demand, build senior relationships, and translate Kantar’s global capabilities into locally relevant, scalable revenue opportunities.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will connect analytics‑led solutions, CX programmes, and data integration offerings into clear commercial propositions. You will work closely with clients and collaborate across global analytics teams, growth functions, and client service partners to build sustained market impact.

Job Goals

  • Lead new business growth across Analytics, CX, and Data Solutions in Japan
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and decision‑makers
  • Shape and commercialise analytics‑led and data integration offerings
  • Advance CX programmes by translating global frameworks into local opportunities
  • Own THX commercialisation and market adoption in Japan
  • Partner with global and regional teams to unlock scalable client solutions
  • Convert early engagement into long‑term, high‑value client relationships

Ideal Skills and Capabilities:

  • Proven experience building commercial opportunities in analytics, CX, data, or consulting environments
  • Confidence engaging senior clients and guiding complex commercial conversations
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into clear, meaningful client value
  • Strong collaboration skills across local, regional, and global teams
  • Strategic mindset with focus on scalability and sustainable growth
  • Comfortable operating as both a leader and connector across capabilities
  • Fluency in English and Japanese to support client and internal engagement
