The Director of Japan TD Operation is responsible for the role of external affairs as a representative of TD in Japan. Build a positive relationship with the Japanese government and University-related affairs in Japan, as well as external-related tasks with us. Work on ensuring successful required reports, responses, and audits certification by the government on the funded R&D projects in Tech Div organization as well as ongoing projects. With this key accountability, craft positive relationships with key partners who are a wide range of high-level leaders, Manufacturing, Business Units, Legal, IP, Government Affairs, HR, and Finance within Micron, and government-related contacts outside Micron, and will own the team collaborative to contribute the growth of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Translates HBM3 Gen 2 program and related projects in Tech Div and the government needs into the comprehensive requirement of which ensures successful delivery
  • Prepares required reports, responses, and audits certification. periodic written reports required regarding funded HBM3 Gen2 related projects and latest status and keeps Management informed of project direction and overall scope as applicable.
  • Leads all aspects of key indicator requirements by monitoring and taking audits and is responsible for crafting government reports.
  • Works with internal and government partners to understand the project needs to act as an effective window person.
  • Work closely with internal matrix partners to ensure that all related items, specifically funded projects for the government requirement, are of adequate quality.
  • Provides DRAM R&D expertise and input into internal and external communications, release related reports, and implementation collateral.
  • Effectively leads audit related meetings with key members from various internal teams to assess status for the specific projects.
  • Clearly communicates with external and internal collaborators and contacts to ensure both desired results and expectations mesh with the requirement from the government.
  • Develops and strengthens relationships with internal/external partners through both proactive and adaptable internal contacts to maintain preferred status, fully understanding the requirement and developing an in-depth understanding of the objectives.
  • Drives accountability and authentic dedication to an inclusive environment in support of objectives.


EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
More than 10 years of experience in memory technology and development and relevant business experience, which provides the vital skills, knowledge, and abilities.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:

  • Ability to understand DRAM technology and products.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
  • Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to tackle problems and deal with concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Ability to find common ground and gain collaboration amongst management and colleagues and influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
  • A demonstrated track record of working with minimal supervision, being a self-starter, and working with others in a team environment.
  • Consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations.
