Senior Director Originals & Lifestyle, Wholesale

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • To lead profitable and sustainable market share and net sales growth in responsible distribution and key accounts while respecting the image of the adidas Group brands
  • To passionately lead the respective channel team in identifying account, developing business operating model with profitable growth of the adidas Group brands

Key Responsibilities:

Functional:

  • Represent the assigned account(s) internally as ambassador towards all functions and vice versa and manage all interfaces
  • Develop the overall strategy for responsible distribution, account(s) especially, Shoe & Fashion account(s) and categories portfolio Originals and Sportswear Footwear based on global and responsible strategies jointly with the VP Sales - Wholesale and get sign off by the MD
  • Guide/Support for negotiation and enforcement of adidas Group trade terms
  • Monitor and measure progress on responsible distribution KPIs with Sales VP
  • Report responsible distribution KPIs to Sales VP
  • Make a decision with sales VP to solve conflict within responsible distribution by key account(s), especially Originals and Sportswear Footwear
  • Establish appropriate process / framework to review challenge and sign off the Strategic Account Plans and Account Marketing Plans including global Go To Market Milestone, i.e. Herzo Visit, Pari Fashion week and Mega event
  • Independently lead the cross functional / country / global project
  • Provide solutions on customer credibility / customer financial for midterm business
  • Minimize/Manage risk and opportunity in organization
  • SWB / Travel / Score / Timecard / Concur
  • Ensure/Develop customer compliance with agreements

Personnel:

  • Establish an appropriate organizational framework for the dedicated channel and account organization jointly with the Sales VP in line with the Global organizational blueprint
  • Set clear objectives, targets, guidelines for sales organization along with Sales VP
  • Provide performance review to all direct reports, responsible distribution and team members
  • Develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and responsible distribution members
  • Manage multiple teams in broader functional area, leads a department consisting multiple hierarchical levels
  • Ensure the respective channel organization applies adidas Group standards and best practices available in daily work

KPI:

  • Sales - Responsible Distribution / Group / Team / Distribution Channel
  • Market Share
  • Net Sales, Sell Out, Inventory, Sales Budget, retail KPIs in brand space (comp growth and etc), inventory level, POS numbers
  • DCC
  • Cash out
  • NPS

Key Relationships:

  • Global Sales, Global Brand, Global Business Development
  • SMT, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, HR, IT, Creation, Business Planning
  • External: Executive / Top Management

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • 10 years of functional experiences
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experiences
  • Ideally in Apparel / Fashion / Shoes / FMCG
  • Exposure: Sports, Marketing, Supply Chain

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experiences
  • English: Business level; Board presentation
  • Japanese: Fluent
