Position: Drug Discovery Scientist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60–$90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design realistic research problems for AI models in drug research. Ensure they require genuine reasoning, not pattern matching.
- Build a comprehensive data room using real, source-grounded data. Ensure every decisive value traces to a real source.
- Write a grading document that scores submissions based on substance. Focus on reasoning quality, not style or method.
- Validate and calibrate tasks before submission. Ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Revise tasks based on reviewer feedback. Maintain authority on scientific and difficulty questions.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Expertise in mechanistic enzymology, structure-guided peptide or antibody design, fragment-based discovery, or structure-based medicinal chemistry.
- PhD or equivalent industry track record.
- Ability to pose defensible problems that strong solvers cannot shortcut.
- Comfortable judging reasoning quality.
