Job Purpose

To achieve our ambitious goals, we will accelerate the transformation by merging 2 functions such as WREF and EHS into one function to seek better synergy from financial as well as employee experience perspective and provide new level of modern facilities and the most effective, safe and healthy working environment and services for employees.

We’re creating this exciting new team to manage real estate facilities, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), Occupational Health and Security service.

The proposed position will

  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and GSK global EHS and Corporate Security standards.
  • Aligned to Global EHS and Security strategy, develop & implement integrated approach to managing all workplace health, wellbeing, safety risks and opportunities ensuring stakeholder collaboration & engagement.
  • Create business solutions aimed to maximize productivity, presentism, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

EHS:

  • Ensure sustainable, competitive business advantage through leadership and excellence in Environment, Health, and Safety.
  • Provide professional and specialist advice and support to the organization to ensure the business remains legally compliant as a minimum. In so doing to identify relevant legislation, Corporate EHS expectations and other stakeholder requirements and to understand forthcoming legislation and ensure implications for the business are understood and acted upon.
  • Maintain and develop the EHS Management Systems and associated activities such as Life Saving Rules, Driving Safety, etc.
  • Advise and assist with the assessment of risk and its control to avoid or minimize loss in existing and proposed processes.
  • Support projects to ensure EHS considerations are identified and addressed.
  • Work with Regional Occupational Health team to establish employee health programs to promote healthy work environment and mental wellbeing.
  • Lead, contribute and support incident investigations to ensure appropriate actions and learnings are in place.
  • Identify best practice and opportunities for improvement in corporate EHS policy required standards, targets, and objectives.
  • Develop and ensure procedures to meet EHS responsibilities.
  • Monitor EHS performance and trends and develop solutions to continuously improve performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date requirements of any EHS changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
  • Identify Emergency Response Scenarios and develop response plans. Liaise with Site Leadership Teams and conduct periodic mock drills on the identified emergency scenarios.

Security:

  • Own the security aspects at site to protect GSK premises, infrastructure, assets, and people.
  • Work with Regional Head of Security to ensure GSK security requirements are met.
  • Work closely with GSK CCM sponsor for Crisis Management Plan and BCP (Business Continuity Plans).
  • Work closely with corporate security to monitor and ensure plan readiness and lead annual desk drill with GSK CCM team with documented learnings and actions.
  • Identify good practices and share them in regional meetings.
  • Manage security service vendors.
  • Work as Security Champion to coordinate with Corporate Security global strategy/planning and other initiatives, accountable for local deliveries.

Qualifications & Experience

Education Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities, Real Estate, EHS or related discipline

Relevant Job experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences on office facilities EHS and Security service
  • Had experience in corporate crisis management such as earthquake response plan, COVID etc.
  • Additional EHS, Security and Project management qualifications is a plus
