About the department
At Novo Nordisk (NN), we are experiencing a rapid growth in sales over the recent years and along with the wide range of new products to be launched, we are re-enforcing our production capability world-wide.
As our Koriyama Factory (KFA) is also expanding its workforce, this exciting opportunity is now available for an Electrical Engineer, KFA in Japan to join one of the largest scale projects of the factory expansion (expanding the building, not just the equipment) by collaborating with the team members. Also, ensuring high level of compliance with all the internal and external regulations/requirements in all activities and readiness for new product launches as per defined milestones.

The position
As a Project Electrical Engineer, the primary focus lies in facilitating the expansion of facilities to ensure their readiness for future opportunities and products. This entails advocating for a facility expansion strategy in line with the "Circular for Zero" approach, prioritizing sustainable design and utility usage. Furthermore, there's a dedication to integrating new technologies and external expertise while maintaining rigorous compliance with internal and external regulations. The commitment to the NNWay, Essentials, and Triple Bottom Line principles underscores the unwavering dedication to ethical, environmental, and social responsibility throughout the expansion project. Other roles expectations are as follows:

  • Collaborate with head quarter and design suppliers to establish electrical design and review estimates for the new facility.
  • Ensure that KFA Facility expansion aligns with internal and external stakeholders, emphasizing safety and process efficiency.
  • Manage processes, safety, and stakeholder relationships, particularly with facility/equipment suppliers.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, internal audits, and regulatory inspections, acting as an SME during audits.
  • Ensure facility activities align with quality, process performance, and environmental and employee safety, while also preparing for new product launches as per defined milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Work experience at least 3 years in electrical facility engineering.
  • Experience in improvement activities on a large scale.
  • Supplier management skills.
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency, verbal or written and/or advanced level of Japanese.
