Job Description

Everyrealm is looking for an experienced event manager in Asia to play an integral part in building and scaling our products. You will be responsible for every aspect of planning events, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards and you will also be expected to attend events.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the requirements for each event
  • Plan events with attention to financial and time constraints
  • Book venues and schedule speakers
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians, etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Hire personnel
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit reports

Requirements

  • Must be adept at networking with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure the execution of events. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships is key.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills are required. Ability to delegate tasks efficiently, oversee a team, and ensure everyone is equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management, with the capability to keep event costs within allocated budgets. Must possess skills in negotiating, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Should have a solid background in logistical planning, with the ability to manage all aspects of event setup. This includes but is not limited to, seating arrangements, entertainment scheduling, and anticipating potential logistical challenges.
  • A broad understanding of what guests expect from events is essential. This requires a blend of creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and meet attendee needs.
