About the Role
As a Legal Entity Controller (LEC), you will be responsible for financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and collaboration with tax advisors on tax filings. You will also handle management fee and performance fee billing for discretionary investment mandates, manage third-party AP vendors, and review their deliverables. Working closely with global finance teams, you will help ensure accurate, timely financial operations and deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly closing, financial reporting, and cash flow management for Japan and Korea legal entities
Drive annual and semi-annual closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and financial disclosure documents
Support external audits and coordinate with tax advisors on corporate tax filings
Perform US GAAP consolidation analysis and expense management related to fund investments where the firm serves as General Partner
Calculate and process management fees and performance fees for discretionary investment mandates, and manage the billing cycle
Manage relationships with external AP vendors and review monthly expense settlements
Participate in global LEC-related system implementation and upgrade projects
Required
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or an analytical role (e.g., Big 4 consulting or public accounting)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a customer service mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email applications
Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and sound judgment in addressing challenges
Collaborative team player, eager to contribute to the growth of the platform
Preferred / Nice to Have
Japan CPA qualification
Fluent or business-level English for global communication
