JR48102 Global Operations Intelligence Analytics/Optimization Senior Data Scientist

Be part of Micron’s SMAI Global Operations Intelligence team! As a Senior Data Scientist with us, you will own the development of global application/optimization/Data Analytics solutions. Responsibilities include end to end development, deployment and, optimization of next generation, advanced, factory Application and Optimization systems that will be deployed throughout the global network of manufacturing sites.

Roles and Responsibilities:

You will regularly work with Micron’s Operation Intelligence and Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure solutions meet or exceed customer requirements including:

Identifying solution opportunities to transform operations towards Smart Factory and Manufacturing with excellent operation performance, collaborating with key customers like Manufacturing Engineers to develop the solution and make breakthroughs.
Driving global collaboration and alignment of Operations Intelligence practices and development activities.
Designing and developing manufacturing applications and reporting/analytics solutions applying techniques such as generative design/ML/AI, enabling the achievement of industry leading manufacturing capability.
Identifying root causes of manufacturing issues with Operation Intelligence applications, making proposals for enhancements, partnering with in-house application users to finalize proposal and development plan.
Providing data analysis and data visualizations, to explain the solutions in logical way and engage customers to practice in systematic way with the solution deployed.
Developing and maintaining the product code versioning, working with local site teams for deployment.
Building trust-based relationships within the team and across networks

Requirements :

Data analytics development experience with SQL, Python, experience with Tableau, GIT and DevOps, web development, Visual studio is preferred, CAD skills not required but advantageous
The proven ability in multi-tasking and prioritizing complex projects.
Willingness to continuously learn and improve skills, especially with technical skills, programming capability.
Root Cause and Critical Thinking skills
Strong problem-solving skills with logical approach
Ability to make decisions in complex situations.
Passion and accountability for the environment you will be responsible for
Strong communication skills in English and Japanese
Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience
