Job Responsibilities:

• Define detailed, developable business requirements that accurately reflect the changes needed for the Guidewire product. This means clarifying specific changes, rather than providing abstract business requirements that are detached from the product implementation.
• Based on business requirements, create user stories that include clear acceptance criteria. These stories should be specific and actionable, allowing developers to implement them without requiring additional verification.
• Define the data requirements, workflow requirements, and system integration requirements necessary to realize each function.
• Document business rules, workflows, configuration requirements, data mappings, type code values (Type List Values), and business scenarios in a way that is accessible to the development team.
• Lead or support requirements definition sessions with customers and stakeholders.
• Completed user stories and UX designs are validated from a business perspective to ensure they meet the initial business objectives before acceptance.
• We conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) from a business perspective to help identify and resolve defects.
• Work with the quality assurance team to ensure that requirements are testable and that test cases reflect real-world business scenarios.
• We translate business requirements into functional specifications and contribute to the creation of customer-facing documentation.
• Without escalating to Guidewire, we will proactively utilize our network of experts within partner companies to verify the requirements.
• Share knowledge about insurance operations with team members as needed.

Job Qualification:

• Deep and specialized knowledge of the Japanese non-life insurance industry is the most important requirement for this position. This requires not only the ability to document stakeholder requests, but also a level of knowledge that allows you to understand the actual insurance business processes and identify any omissions or inconsistencies in requirements.
• Business Analyst experience (3+ years) in IT implementation projects.
• Experience defining business requirements (process maps, use cases, data mapping, etc.) in agile development projects.
• Guidewire Product Business Analyst certification (Associate level or higher) - This certification is generally required. However, if you have exceptionally high-level insurance business knowledge, part-time participation may be considered instead of full-time. Part-time personnel with specialized knowledge are preferred over general full-time personnel.
• Even if you do not have the necessary certification, you can participate if you have practical experience in Guidewire projects, but you will be required to make reasonable efforts to obtain the relevant certification within one month of assignment (unless otherwise agreed)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Holds the Ace level certification of Guidewire Product Business Analyst Certification.
• You can create business scenarios based on the specific behavior of Guidewire products (not just rephrasing business requirements, but clearly describing "what will change on the product").
• Experience as an operations or IT specialist at a Japanese non-life insurance company or related projects.
• We have a proven track record of autonomously conducting requirements verification by utilizing a network of experts within our partner companies.
