The Position

臨床開発・学術・薬事・品質・マーケットアクセス・政府渉外を所管するヘルスケアエクセレンス本部の責任者として、当社の革新的な診断薬・医療機器の新製品の国内導入に当たり、その臨床的価値を最大化するために、当社Global本社と連携し、国内Key Opnion Leaders（KOLs）と協働体制を構築し、必要に応じ国内臨床研究を遂行します。
また、当局と協議・交渉し診断薬・医療機器の薬事承認並びに保険適用を取得する、一連のプロセスを管轄していただきます。上市後の製品につきましても、学会や実地の臨床医の先生方に働きかけ、実地診療における測定意義を啓発し、広く普及させることも主要な任務となります。加えて、幅広い製品の品質を当社Global本社・関係当局と連携し担保することも管轄いただくことになります。本ポジションは経営メンバー（Japan Enabling Team）の一員として、経営目標を達成するためにGMおよび各部署のヘッドとの密なコラボレーションが必要となります。

Details:
As the Head of HealthCare Excellence, you will lead Medical Scientific Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Market Access and Government Affairs as well as a member of Roche Diagnostics KK’s Enabling Team (ET) member.
Medical Scientific Affairs:
You will collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to maximize the clinical value of our innovative diagnostics products in Japan, working closely with global headquarters and Asia Pacific regional office. Promoting the significance of our products in practical clinical settings and ensuring their widespread adoption among healthcare professionals will also be a key responsibility.
Quality and Regulatory Affairs:
You will be responsible for engaging in discussions and negotiations with regulatory authorities to obtain regulatory approvals for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD). Furthermore, you will collaborate with our global headquarters and relevant authorities to ensure the quality of a wide range of products.
Market Access and Government Affairs:
You will be responsible for engaging in discussions and negotiations with authorities and stakeholders to ensure access to diagnostics. Key responsibilities include obtaining reimbursement for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) as well as influencing the government’s policies.
Enabling Team (ET):
You lead the affiliate and collaborate closely with the GM and ET members to achieve Roche’s goals with the enterprise mindset. As a Senior Leader of Roche, you have a creative mindset, willing for open discussion, and challenging the status quo to be a better version of ourselves.
Required Experience:
Experience as a practicing physician
Role as a people leader
At least 15 years total experience in one of the following:
Position as a faculty member in a medical school and/or an important role in the medical/academic community
Practical experience in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), or other relevant authorities
Practical experience in private companies including the pharmaceutical/medical device industry
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
Enterprise mindset with a group and company-wide perspective as a member of the Enabling Team
Strategic thinking to make effective decisions as a partner to the GM and the Enabling Team members
Strong communication skills to negotiate and establish agreements with internal and external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally.
Systems thinking that generates impact not only within RDKK but also across the entire group and society.
MD education and license
Medical insights to build evidence that contributes to improving product value
Understanding of authorities’ logic necessary for consultation and negotiation with authorities
Advanced marketing concepts and market access
Strategic thinking
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decision-making of others
Demonstrate VACC(Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach) leadership competencies with experience in leading, coaching and developing people and network teams
