PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The role is expected to plan, execute the sales strategies/plans for offline channels in Japan market and deliver the growth expectation on both topline and bottomline from the company via maximizing consumer demands in the channels with driving strategic JBP partnership with the retailers. The role is also responsible for growth of people in the sales team on top of business delivery captured above.

The role directly reports to the Sales Director (Function leader) and is required to closely co-work with multi-functional teams e.g. Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain to achieve the business growth expectations.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Revenue Management within the responsible channels:
  • Responsible for delivering the monthly, quarterly and annual sales volume and revenue targets for responsible offline channels
  • Manage trade spending e.g. price promotion, demonstrator cost within the budget amount via driving ROI improvements
  • Ensure quality volume forecasting to deliver expected accuracy in order to maximize topline sales and to minimize operational costs

Lead robust G2M strategy development and execution for the channels to deliver revenue expectations

Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities within the channels to identify business opportunities and actions to address them

  • Expand Instore/In-market presence of Dyson brand in the channels:
  • Develop strategy and plan to expand distribution within offline channels to maximize venue for shoppers to try and purchase our brand
  • Also responsible for planning and execution of promotion events on our brand to better attract our consumers
  • Deliver quality instore presence with closely partnering with Retail marketing team, Instore activation field team and retailers

  • Build Strategic partnership with customers/retailers:
  • Lead Top-to-Top partnership with responsible customers to drive strategic agreement to jointly grow our brand faster than competitions in their stores
  • Enhance JBP planning and execution with own sales team and the customers

  • Multi-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with;
  • Marketing team (brand, trade marketing and insight team) to develop the customer plans to maximize NPDs in the channels i.e. promotion plans, instore fixture and rollout plans, customer selling story
  • Demand planning team and Supply Chain team to ensure stock availability for the channels without unexpected excess stock
  • Finance team to optimize trade spending e.g. promo. spending, instore demonstrator cost (RGI)

  • People management:
  • Grow expected skillset of people as sales person in own team e.g. skill to drive JBP, customer selling skill, ROI based promo. planning skill

  • Career background:
  • Retail industry experiences – both headquarter and stores of retail partners e.g. FMCG, Tech appliance
  • Wider channel experiences e.g. Appliance stores, GMS, Wholesale, TVHS, Club
  • People management experiences with 5-10 or more reporting lines
  • Strong experience in working collaboratively with Multi-functions to ensure seamless channel operations e.g. Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain
