Job Description

Team Summary


The PMO team under Japan Products & Solutions is accountable for supporting the execution, deployment, and enablement of any Product key initiatives through dedicated project management and solutioning expertise. The team will act as a SWAT team/BPO for the Japan Products & Solutions, and run/support projects where there are lack of resources that are time sensitive, and also work on anything that is organization wide initiative and bring together the whole Japan Products & Solution.


The Role


As part of the team responsible for executing initiatives to develop and deploy innovations around consumer and business credit, debit, prepaid and engagement solutions you will be in a key position to learn about and drive Visa's business growth. You'll be able to get involved in driving digital adoption, diversifying Visa revenue and rapidly growing Visa credentials-in-force, activation rates and consumer spend.


The role-holder will be part of a Tokyo-based team working with colleagues from across Asia-Pacific, responsible for evolving and building end-to-end consumer experiences that drive client preference for Visa as a strategic partner and make us an enabler of superior value propositions for digitally-savvy consumers.


Working closely with the Head of Products & Solutions, Japan, you will get involved heavily in key strategic projects such as winning everyday spend, Value-added solution acceleration, sales enablement, product sales, igniting commercial portfolio, bringing efficiency into the organization, annual planning, Product BPO and others.


You will need to be highly collaborative and will lead the team that's the key interface for cross-functional efforts between the market teams, Hub stakeholders and Visa's global teams.


As Head of PMO, you will



  • Develop various framework that will address specific market needs not currently met by existing consumer and merchant products, including changes to existing services or proposing new services seamlessly from inception to go to market rollout.

  • Work on sales enablement process for our internal sales team to be trained and armed with tools to go out to clients. One of Visa’s key strategy is to “sell sell sell”, and this key initiative will arm our sales team to be effective and efficient

  • Support the Head of Product & Solutions on business process operation tasks, to drive effectiveness and efficiency across the organization, including but not limited to meeting cadence, reporting, annual planning, strategy development, key project(s) execution, product pricing structure, account planning, sales opportunity identification and tracking

  • Provide program / project management progress reporting and update relevant information to key stakeholders and dashboard on the project you are working on

  • Play a key role as an adviser to your peers, and your market, regional, and global stakeholders.

  • Lead the PMO team as an escalation point whilst supporting your team to realize their career development opportunities

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:



  • 12 years' combined experience in corporate strategy or consulting with preferably 2-3 years in payment systems and/or financial services.

  • Be self-motivated, flexible and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure all participants and internal/external stakeholders deliver as planned

  • Experience in delivering quality product integrations within scope and on time

  • Ability to evolve strategy based on research, data, and industry trends with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively in Japanese and English

  • Strategic planning experience, including the development and implementation of process improvements within product management or sales is desirable

  • Proven track record of program and project management

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, marketing, corporate comms, customer support

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with global and regional teams

  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and clients

  • Excellent people management skills
