Provide legal support and advice to the Company and its affiliates in particular in the areas of compliance with legal obligations, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, establishing and implementing corporate governance and supporting any potential or actual litigation or arbitration.

あなたはどのように貢献し、成長しますか？

1 -

Provide legal support (drafting, negotiating) for all commercial contracts with clients and suppliers the Company enters into including but not limited to gas supply agreement

2 -

Work collaboratively across a broad range of people developing and maintaining strong working relationships between legal and all businesses & functional teams like finance, human resources to facilitate a team based approach

3 -

Proactively communicate and manage expectations with multiple stakeholders and follow up obligations arising in connection with commercial transactions. Managing and facilitating communications with legal colleagues and non-legal functions within and outside the country

4 -

Advise on a wide range of commercial matters including contracts, corporate matters, manufacturing related issues, product liability, regulatory and competition law matters

5 -

Handle dispute matters (litigation, arbitration, mediation etc) with assistance from external law firms as needed

6 -

Identify legal and risk issues and proactively develope effective legal strategies and practical solutions

あなたは適切な人ですか。

- LLB from a university in Japan is required. JD or LLM from a law school in Japan or other jurisdiction is a plus.

- At least 5 years of practical experience ( for a lawyer qualified in Japan, US or equivalent jurisdiction, min. 3 years experience is taken into consideration) in law firm or in house counsel position, preferably in manufacturing business.

- Excellent drafting and verbal/written communication skills in Japanese.

- Business level English (limited working proficiency in speaking, as well as professional working proficiency in reading and writing to understand all written internal policies and business documents).

- In-depth knowledge of Japanese commercial law, civil law, data security/privacy law, and antitrust law and Professional integrity of the highest order, unwavering ethical compass.

-License: Japanese or foreign bar is a plus.
