FinCrime Operations Team Lead

The Role

An exciting opportunity to take ownership of KYC & AML operations within Plum. You will be responsible for a team and leading initiatives to make product and process improvements. Ideally you have experience in a similar role and have scaled a KYC / AML team in the past at a high growth fintech or another company in financial services. The role will be based in our Nicosia Offices.

Ideally You Will

  • Look after the day to day operations and workload of the team, prioritise tasks and summarise the most relevant information for stakeholders
  • Proactively suggest product, internal tooling and process improvements. Gain stakeholder support and collaborate closely with Compliance, Product and other teams to implement changes
  • Use your experience and expertise to guide the AML/KYC team on complex cases and manage escalations
  • Mentor and coach team members, actively provide feedback and take an active interest in their career growth and progression
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge base that includes standard operating procedures, workflow descriptions, training materials etc.
  • Become the main point of contact for relevant partners, coordinate daily activities and help resolve any unforeseen issues

Requirements

Ideally You

  • Have at least 2+ years of experience in managing and scaling a FinCrime Operations team
  • Have relevant expertise and knowledge of areas such as KYC, customer screening, transaction monitoring, periodic reviews etc.
  • Are analytical and excited about working with a business that moves fast
  • Have unparalleled attention to detail and strong administrative abilities
  • Have a track record of proactive problem solving and drive to understand the whys
  • Can work autonomously and take decisions in your ownership area
  • Are fluent in English and knowledge of any other European language is a plus
