Responsibilities:
l Manage the implementation of capability initiatives and quality control of final deliverables.
l Drive the needs assessments, capability program design, delivery, measurement and embedding with a strong focus on external engagement excellence.
l Ensure successful delivery and deployment of capability initiatives via effective stakeholder management and planning.
l Explores future trends, innovation and digital advances and integrates into capability initiatives to drive an effective and engaging learner experience.
l Appropriately manage vendors to ensure high quality deliverables and efficient spend in areas such as external engagement, manager coaching, driving consistent global standards.
l Track capability program budget liaising with Group Manager to flag key risks and opportunities.
l Lead continuous improvement to ensure impactful and relevant capability programs that accelerate employee upskilling and drives desired performance change.
l Build an advisory network of subject-matter experts to inform program design at a local and regional level for key programs, keeping pace with ever-evolving healthcare landscapes.
l Continually assess external environment for key trends and insights and determine implication for capability building within Medical Affairs.

Requirements:
l Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
l Minimum five (5) years of experience in process and/or capability management within the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
l Demonstrated ability to define business process, standards/metrics, design training curriculum, manage data, all while ensuring customer, business and user requirements are achieved, compliance is assured, and risks are managed/mitigated. Builds business cases that include impact and performance metrics.
l Deep understanding of and practical experience working with core Medical Affairs processes (e.g. Medical Strategy Planning, KOL Engagement Planning, Evidence Generation, Medical Education).
l Analytical, logical thought process with proven track record of strong matrix management, facilitation, and project management skills.
l Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communications skills both in Japanese and English.
l Superlative presentation skills, across lines and levels and with senior stakeholders.
l Ability to successfully coach cross-functional teams, influence and collaborate with leaders, peers, cross-functional and regional/global partners, drive alignment and achieve meaningful outcomes including creating business impact through others.
l Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing priorities; work with agile and growth mindset, as well as manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
