Job Description:

• We are looking for a Senior Japanese Bilingual C++/Qt Engineer to work onsite at the customer location in Hachioji, Tokyo. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, gathering and clarifying technical needs, coordinating with the offshore development team, and contributing to the implementation of C++ applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in C++, Qt-based application development, and the ability to communicate effectively with Japanese customers and offshore engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand business and technical requirements from the customer.
• Participate in requirement gathering, analysis, clarification, and documentation.
• Communicate with Japanese stakeholders to capture expectations, technical details, and project priorities.
• Transfer technical knowledge, requirements, and domain understanding to the offshore development team.
• Act as a bridge between the onsite customer team and offshore engineering team.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain C++ applications using the Qt framework.
• Support implementation, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution at onsite.
• Review technical designs, code, and deliverables when required.
• Ensure that offshore implementation aligns with customer expectations and technical requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, status updates, and demos.
• Support smooth coordination between onsite and offshore teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Job Qualification:

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in C++ application development.
• Good experience with Qt framework for GUI or application development.
• Japanese language proficiency of N3 or above.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements in Japanese.
• Experience in requirement gathering and customer-facing technical discussions.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
• Ability to coordinate with offshore development teams.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an onsite-offshore delivery model.
• Experience in desktop application development.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Experience in technical documentation, requirement specification, and knowledge transfer.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum-based development methodology.
• Experience working directly with Japanese customers.
