About the role

If you are fluent in both English and Japanese and passionate about facilitating cross-cultural communication, we want to hear from you! Bounce is hiring a Live Interpreter responsible for travelling with a Bounce sales representative, visiting different businesses and locations in Japan, and helping to translate between English and Japanese. You will also aid the sales representative in communication via email and phone with a goal of building relationships with clients in Japan. This is a temporary position from April 11 to May 4, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Where you come in

• Travel with a Bounce sales representative to various businesses and locations across Japan.

• Provide live interpretation services between English and Japanese.

• Assist in facilitating communication via email and phone between our team and Japanese clients.

• Aid in selling Bounce services and building strong business relationships.

• Translate documents and materials as needed.

Your profile

• Native in Japanese and fluent in English

• Availability to travel within Japan as needed

• Charismatic, positive, “can-do” attitude in-person and over the phone

• Understanding of Japanese business practices & sales techniques

• Excellent communication skills

• Confidence in face-to-face interaction with local businesses
