About The Team:
This team is responsible to be focus on developing short term and long term cost targets and related indicators of each business to ensure a reasonable cost structure and accurate data in order to drive growth and improve the end customer experience.
- Procurement Strategy: Be responsible for procurement project management for the Japan and Korea markets, lead the formulation and execution of regional logistics procurement strategies, and develop and drive the implementation of regional procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Supplier Management: Be responsible for supplier sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, performance management, and phase-out, and continuously optimize the regional supplier pool.
- Commercial Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead commercial negotiations, price negotiations, contract term design, and contract performance management for key procurement projects.
- Market Insight and Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement through market research, category analysis, and data analysis, and continuously optimize procurement costs.
- Procurement Compliance: Monitor changes in the market environment in Japan and Korea, supply chain risks, and policy compliance requirements; continuously improve procurement rules and contract terms; and establish risk identification and response mechanisms.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in supply chain management, international trade, logistics, business administration, or related fields.
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English for work communication as this position requires to work with local logistic partners.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing; experience in procurement for the Japan or Korea market is preferred.
- Be familiar with the full procurement process, including demand management, sourcing, tendering and purchasing, commercial negotiation, contract management, and supplier management.
- Possess strong capabilities in market insight, data analysis, project management, and cross-functional communication and execution.
- Be results-oriented and able to drive complex projects and achieve business goals through close cross-functional collaboration.
- Have a solid understanding of the business environment, supplier ecosystem, and cross-cultural collaboration in the Japan and Korea markets.
- Possess strong risk and compliance awareness, and be able to strike a sound balance among efficiency, cost, and risk.
