Our client is a global machinery manufacturing company. The company manufactures filters that are supplied to the commercial vehicle industry. With a history of over 50 years, the company has established a variety of brands, trademarks, and patents. The Japan office currently has around 20 employees. Description
* Work with internal stakeholders to understand customers' needs and supply capabilities of overseas factories
* Monitor movement of inventory from overseas factory to local warehouse, maintaining master data and checking for discrepancies
* Collaborate with logistics vendors to arrange transportation for inbound and outbound shipments in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Ensure that shipments meet customs requirements and prepare necessary documentation for the importing process
* Optimize inventory by preventing stock shortages and minimizing excess stock
* Identify areas for improvement in logistics operations, while effectively controlling costs
Profile
* Minimum 2 years of logistics experience
* Experience working in a manufacturing company or third-party logistics provider
* Experience collaborating with third-party logistics vendors
* Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred
* Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan
