About this role

The role of Manager, Camp Management Global is a customer facing role with skills needed to help business meet the challenges of workforce mobilization management globally. This role is responsible for supporting and implementing travel management, workforce logistics and accommodation solutions globally across our different sites. This role will work closely with the regional mine site teams in driving innovation and transformation in our workforce mobilization management systems and technologies . This role requires a commitment to operational excellence, service management and continuous improvement.. This person must have a passion for problem solving, strong relationship skills, payroll time experience and the ability to collaborate cross functionally. The main objective is to help Newmont foster team agility, improve collaboration and boost employee engagement.

Your role will consist of

Tactical

  • Supervise the ongoing maintenance of the Workforce Mobilization Management Systems across 16 sites globally.
  • Perform detail analysis and provide solutions for Workforce Mobilization Management processes that may differ from site to site.
  • Participate on IT or Business Projects covering the Workforce Mobilization Management stream.
  • Solution Design and Delivery for Workforce Mobilization Management solutions.
  • Execute testing for Workforce Mobilization Management Solutions when necessary.
  • Generate detailed documentation of business requirements and solutions for Workforce Mobilization management Systems.
  • Development of Documentation for Workforce Mobilization management systems
  • Partner with other Site and IT areas to satisfy integration requirements for Workforce Mobilization Management Solutions.
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of Workforce Mobilization Management Solutions in collaboration with the Site Access team.
  • Execute initiatives following project methodology (agile or hybrid) using Newmont’s project management tools.
  • Follow Newmont’s IT operating model and best practices to deliver Workforce Mobilization Management solutions.
  • Work on ticket resolution, investigate, research and solution using available internal and external resources (online, vendor support, Newmont Support Team)

Operational

  • Prioritize work of the support team/vendors and oversee the quality and appropriateness of the work performed
  • Lead ongoing operational support, maintenance, updates and continuous improvement of the Workforce Mobilization management ecosystem and its interfaces
  • Day to Day operations include: scheduling and driving status meetings, ensure changes are clearly documented and approved prior to change review board, document and participate in root cause analysis meetings with vendors and internal teams, and provide recommendations
  • Resolve and/or facilitate resolution of problems including identifying cause to prevent re-occurrence. Identify and resolve business issues, escalate issues when appropriate
  • Responsible for completing the planned execution of Workforce Mobilization management solutions roadmaps and enhancements
  • Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis. 
  • Ensure adherence to all internal/external audit and SOX IT controls related to Workforce Mobilization solutions

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Workforce Mobilization Management ecosystems like Nomadis including integrations with Site Access Systems and other ERP systems like SAP
  • Exposure to cloud computing applications as applicable.
  • Applicant is required to have a strong trouble shooting and maintenance background

Experience: 

  • Around 10-15 years of technology, people management and related management experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as Workforce Mobilization Management consultant.
  • 7 plus years of demonstrated Workforce Mobilization Management design and implementation experience
  • Experience in working in a large scale global organization that have people on a wide range of workforce mobilization management solutions
  • Experience supporting SLAs, and managing both in-sourced and out-sourced IT services 
  • Experience in driving business process improvement initiatives Mining, construction, utilities or other heavy industry experience is preferred. 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Workforce Mobilization Software Implementation or Support Experience
  • SAP and Site Access Integration
  • Workforce Mobilization management support for Mexico, US, Canada, Ghana, Australia, Peru, Suriname, Argentina, Papa New Guinea
  • HPALM, Service Now, Excel, PowerPoint are desirable.

Working conditions and location

  • The position will be located in the US or Australia.
  • Position will require travel to, and assist other domestic and international sites.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $106,800 - 126,825. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.   

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
