Job Description Summary:

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety & Environment Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve site Safety and Environment strategies aligned with CPS and The Coca-Cola Company objectives.
  • Establish annual goals and improvement plans to enhance safety and environmental performance.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship mindset across the site.
  • Lead water stewardship and conservation initiatives to improve water-use efficiency.
  • Engage stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve safety and environmental objectives.

2. Safety & Environmental Programs

  • Lead site programs related to Safety First, Life Saving Rules, SIF Prevention, Risk Assessment, Contractor Safety, BBS, Near Miss Reporting, Water stewardship, Wastewater Management, and Environmental Compliance.
  • Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs.
  • Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and promote proactive reporting and prevention.
  • Deliver training, communication, and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.

3. Measurement, Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor safety and environmental performance through relevant metrics and KPIs.
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and track corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting through corporate and regulatory reporting systems.
  • Communicate performance results to site leadership and key stakeholders.

4. Standards, Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, KORE requirements, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and company standards.
  • Lead audit readiness activities and coordinate internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Investigate safety and environmental incidents and ensure effective corrective actions.
  • Serve as the site liaison with regulatory authorities and support inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance on safety and environmental matters to site functions and project teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, in Safety engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and contractor safety management.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Certified Safety Manager, Fire Prevention Manager, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor qualification, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing experience are preferable.
  • Project management knowledge and experience.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English.
  • Food/ beverage processing or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge is an advantage
  • Microsoft software tools proficiency (Excel, MS Word, MS Project and Power Point)
